Fisher Vineyards Brings a Taste of Napa Valley to Durham’s Fairview Dining Room

The Inn’s Fairview Dining Room is pleased to host Robert Fisher, general manager of his second-generation family winery, Fisher Vineyards, for the Fisher Wine Dinner on Wednesday, February 26. The event will feature expert selections from the winery, paired with an exquisite multi-course menu by Executive Chef Jason Cunningham
Robert’s parents, Fred and Juelle, established Fisher Vineyards in Sonoma County, California in 1973 on the western slope of Mayacama Mountains before expanding their operations to a second property in Napa Valley in 1975. Today the Fishers farm approximately 75 planted acres, some of which are more than 30 years old. They currently produce eight different varietals of wine, including the proprietary Cameron red blend, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir and others.
Robert joined his parents as general manager in 2004 following his graduation from Duke University and a career on Wall Street. Today, Robert and his siblings, Whitney and Cameron, work together in leading the family business into a second generation of world-class wine production.
Guests will enjoy an unparalleled dining experience from Chef Cunningham and his Fairview Dining Room culinary team, while Robert guides them through Fisher Vineyards’ pairings ranging from the Unity Chardonnay to the Wedding Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon there will be options to suit every wine lover’s taste.
