Hotel Dog Policy
A Pet Friendly Hotel for Our Furry Guests
At the pet-friendly Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, we welcome dogs of any breed, shape or size, and we’re committed to making their stay with us as relaxing and comfortable as their owners’. A maximum of two vaccinated, house-broken, leashed dogs (outside the guest room) over the age of six months are allowed per reservation. For an additional fee, a pet sitter can be arranged for your pet with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice through Guest Services, as no dog may be left unsupervised in a guest room.
Guests checking in with a dog will be charged a one-time fee ranging from $150 for a one to four night stay to $250 for a stay of five or more nights. The Washington Duke Inn reserves the right to remove a dog from the premises if it is determined the animal is causing damage to hotel property, is posing a direct threat to the health or safety of others or is disturbing other hotel guests, and will require the guest to pay for any damage to hotel goods or property caused by their dog. Dog owners are asked to always clean up after their pets.
Outside the guest room, guests with dogs are asked to utilize the entrance near the Fairview elevator landing when entering and leaving the hotel, and to curb their dogs in the designated dog walking area located alongside the Conference Center parking lot, to the right of the traffic circle.
*Important Note: Service animals must be under the control of their owner at all times.
